Cherry Clafoutis

I have always wanted to try to make cherry clafoutis. I had a big bag of cherries so I decided to make it happen.
The fun part is pitting all the cherries. A special tool exists for this, but I just used a knife and my fingers to extract the pits.
It's not hard, but it's messy!

You make a batter with flour, eggs, milk, almond extract, and vanilla extract. Pour that over the cherries and the cherries just kindof float to the top.
Bake for 45 minutes.
It didn't look quite like the pictures I had seen of this dessert. The center looked moist and a little sunken in when I thought it would be more puffy.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar
Served with ice cream.
Despite my fears based on it's appearance, this turned out to be delicious. It was almost like a firm custard or flan in the gooey middle parts, and not too sweet-which I like. This was easy and make with ingredients I had on hand. I would definately make this again!
